After 14 years in a tenure that started as an intern in the Promotions Department, then rising his way through the ranks, 107.7 The End/Seattle APD/MD/Middayer Andrew Harms is resigning his post effective November 2nd. His first order of business is a 6,000 mile train trip around America. Alternative Contraband reached out to harms who told us, “My time at The End has been incredible. The privilege of working at this station for an extended period of time is something I will always appreciate. I know how rare that is in our industry. I have been very lucky to do what I do for all these years. However, I won’t spend much time reminiscing about the past – I’m much more excited to focus on a number of big plans for the future. Oh – and Phil – thanks for the being the guy that hired me in the first place – I hope you were happy with your choice

Q87/Chicago’s Walter Flakus has added PM Drive to his MD duties as Shark exits. OM Jim Richards says, “It’s great to get him fully focused on Q87.7. He really gets what the station’s about and sounds great on the air.”

Tyson Haller has switched alphabet letters from ILG to ADA and has also added VP/Label Services to his repertoire in addition to his already existing VP/Head Of Promotion status. He is essentially staying put, just under a different company name.
Only a few letters to go and then it’s lunch time….we’ll have the alphabet soup.

CD102.5/Columbus continues their yearly Andy-Man-A-Thon for the 20th year December 14-16 raising money and awareness for CD102.5 ForThe Kids. The on-air radiothon was started by Andy Davis, former WWCD jock, who passed away several years ago. Portions of the proceeds will benefit Andy’s three children. When Andy hosted the event, he stayed on the air for 48 straight hours raising money for children’s charities.
